How do you compose your shots?
Composition is the Word of the day. Composing a photo, is an art not a science. There are rules to photography, but rules were meant to be broken. I see the shot in my eye first the I try to get my camera to tell the story my eye just saw, sounds simple enough, but it usually never is, so many factor to account for. Lighting, DOF, shutter speed , and aperture to name a few. When I get the shot though going thru the process was all worth it..
The People over at DPS posted a great peice on composing you shot on the fly

Low Budget Studio
We all have to start somewhere, To quote Mark Twain "It's not the size of the dog in the fight, it's the size of the fight in the dog." So its not whether you have million dollar equipment it how you use what you have. So I found a great article on
creating a home studio on a very limited budget, and as you get better you can replace the diffrent parts with more expensive stuff. If you feel you can get a better shot with it.

Dealing With Photographer's Block
Rule number one when shooting to learn about photography is to keep shooting. If you feel you've "run out of things to shoot" shift your focus. Try something you havent tried before, like Macro, or Panorama's. Google a well known photographer and try to emulate there style. Have you mastered depth of field. Hows your night shots looking. The lists of types and styles of photography are infinite. So pick one and get out there and shoot.
Francois Cleroux over at MyShutterSpace.com has a great article, dealing with this issue.

Contest Alert: Rear Curtain Sync
The folks over at digitalprotalk, Just started a contest on Rear Curtan Sync Photos.
So give it a go..
Rear Curtain Sync :
Some cameras offer the ability to fire the flash at just before the second curtain closes. This is called rear (or second) curtain sync, and it is used to freeze motion at the end of the exposure. When making long exposures while firing a flash, rear curtain sync creates the effect of motion blur trailing the main subject.(from: http://www.camerapedia.org/wiki/Flash_sync)
